About Me
I’m Madison Roberson and I’m a senior at Norris City-Omaha- Enfield High School. I’m the 17-year-old daughter of Rachel Gray of Norris City, IL and Chad Roberson of McLeansboro, IL. I am involved in a once in a lifetime opportunity to get my foot in the door to learn to become successful, not only in the White County CEO class, but also in the future. This class has taught me a plethora of life and business skills that are going to benefit me in the long run for my career. Sometimes it's a challenge juggling all the sports and extracurricular activities that I am involved in, such as, volleyball, softball, track, 4H, FCA, FFA, Math & Science Club, Communication/Drama Club, and Pep Club, while also holding down a job. In the end, it will be well worth it because it teaches me so many skills including time management. In the little spare time that I have, my hobbies involve spending time with friends and family, going on adventures, and going to church. My future career consists of attending TSPA in Evansville, Indiana this upcoming August for cosmetology. Once I graduate, I plan to work in Harrisburg, IL until I can build up my clientele. I want to be able to financially support myself to expand my business and open up my own salon. I am very excited to see what TSPA has in store for me and to be able to apply the skills that I’ve learned from CEO to run my own business.
About My Business
My CEO business is a sole proprietorship business called Lights, Camera, Glamour Dress Up Party Designs or LGC. I chose this business because I want to use and practice my cosmetology skills. I want to get my name into the community to help my future and to fulfill the dreams of little girls in the community by allowing them to be princesses for a day. An advantage for LGC is that the nearest location that offers dress up activities for little girls is in Eastland Mall in Evansville, Indiana. In order to have a party like the ones I offer, parents must drive their children and inconvenience other parents to transport children to a party one hour away. LCG is the only business of its type in the local Southern Illinois area. Parties will be conducted at the child’s home and will be more convenient for other children’s parents.
